Hot Yoga Tips: Setting yourself up for Success

A Clear step‑by‑step guide for new members

  1. Download the app EVANSVILLE YOGA SPACE- create an account

  2. Turn on push notifications

  3. Buy an intro offer

  4. Sign up for your first 3 classes.

  5. Arrive Early — arrive at least 15 minutes early. This gives us time to welcome you, answer questions, and help you get settled in the space.

  6. Be prepared

    Bring these items with you

  • Yoga mat

  • Mat towel (or large towel)

  • Hand towel

  • Water bottle
    Don’t have your own? We have mats and towels available to borrow a few times or purchase.

Hydrate Well
Drink plenty of water before class to prepare your body for the heat. A water station is available for refills.

Dress for the Heat
Wear lightweight, breathable clothing that allows for full movement. Most students prefer moisture-wicking shorts, leggings, or fitted tops.

Settle Into the Heat
When you enter the hot room, take a few quiet moments to breathe deeply and adjust. This helps your body acclimate and your mind relax.

Listen to Your Body
If you feel lightheaded, overwhelmed, or need a break—pause, sip water, and rest in upward seated posture or savasana . Your breath is your guide; there’s no rush.
